The bridge carries Polmadie Road (which here forms the B763 public road) over the Glasgow suburban portion of the West Coast Main Line to the W of Polmadie engine shed (NS56SE 2157). It depicted but not noted on the 1967 edition of the OS 1:1250 map, and is not cited by J R Hume (1974).
The location cited defines the centre of the span. The available map evidence suggests that it extends from NS c. 59652 62639 to NS c. 59676 62666.
