A geophysical survey and geoarchaeological coring were undertaken January–October 2010 prior to work commencing on the Laggan-Tormore gas pipeline.

A magnetometer survey was conducted on the segments of the proposed pipeline, access road and gas processing plant where the peat cover was

was >0.8m. Ground penetration radar and electromagnetic techniques were used to supplement the coring programme. Data processing from the surveys is ongoing.
