According to the valuation Rolls for Lanarkshire (ref: VR107) "Viewpark Mansion House" was owned by "Rober Addie & Sons, Colliers Ltd" during the period 1932-39. The property appears to have been sub-divided into flats as you note in your letter. In 1932/33 the occupants were Daniel Keir, Bryce Walker, Daniel Young, Alexander Walker, Mrs Frank McCreish, David New, Robert Gentles and "other tenants" (ref: VR107/539).
According to H Colvin's A Biographical Dictionary of British Architects 1600 - 1840 (London, 1978). Viewpark House was built by John Baird, a "classical" architect (1798-1859) and (later) a partner of Alexander "Greek" Thomson in Glasgow.
