NN52SW 17 53749 20316 Calair Bridge

(Location cited as NN 535 206: one of two bridges noted at Stronar, Balquhidder). Both are narrow and hump-backed rubble bridges with segmental arches and triangular cutwaters, and are attributed to the 18th to 19th centuries. This bridge, the larger of the two, has four arches.

J R Hume 1977.

Stronvar Bridge. A 4.0m wide six arched road bridge of uncertain date but probably Victorian. The date 1780 is carved near the S end of the E side but the good preservation of the figures suggests that it may not be the original date.

Visited by OS (B S) 20 March 1979.
