Field Visit (April 2014)
NG 60891 56890 to NG 62287 56678 A field survey was undertaken in April 2014 of the area surrounding Rona Lodge, Acairseid Mhor. From fieldwalking the area 76 features were indentified, photographed and recorded by taped offset at a scale of 1:100. The findings were published in an ACFA Occasional Paper No. 132. The features included rock shelters, a boat noost, slipways, platforms, enclosures, longhouses, stores, a spring chamber, a large cairn and several small clearance cairns. A quern store was also found.
