13 October 1883, SAUCY JACK, 38 yrs old, of Lerwick, wooden cutter, 26 tons, 4 crew, Master J. Laurenson, Owner J. Inkester, Bral, Shetland Isles, anchored at Busta Voe, Shetland Isles, in ballast, wind S10, stranded, total loss, Busta Voe, Shetland Isles.

SAUCY JACK. Glasgow, Oct. 20. During the recent gales the smack SAUCY JACK, of Lerwick, while lying off the harbour of South Brae (Shetland), parted from her anchors and was driven ashore on the beach. The crew were saved. The vessel has since become a total wreck.
