NS31NW 132 33502 '8596

The terraced cottage of 'Bellisle' is situated on the E side of Alloway (Monument Road) opposite the Burns Museum (NS31NW 83). Now the Post Office it was built in 1903 by the architect James K Hunter as a two storey terrace of gabled cottages with red tiles and porches. The walls are of white painted harl.

The building is first depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 25-inch map (Ayrshire, 1896) and annotated 'PO' on the later Provisional edition of the 1930's.
