Measurements: L 0.36m, W 0.23m, H 0.20m

Stone type: schist

Place of discovery: NN 69545 57739

Present location: set into the lower part of the churchyard wall in the north-west corner.

Evidence for discovery: first recorded in 1931 by Lacaille.

Present condition: weathered.

Description

This rough block of stone has a rectangular hollow in its upper surface, measuring 0.20m by 0.15m and about 0.10m in depth.

Date: early medieval or later.

Place of discovery: NN 69545 57739

Present location: re-used on a grave in the churchyard.

Evidence for discovery: recorded in 2014.

Present condition: weathered.

Description

This small and roughly formed cruciform stone has a very small incised cross at the centre of its arms.

Date: tenth or eleventh century.

Present location: in situ in the south-west part of the graveyard.

Evidence for discovery: first recorded in 1931 by Lacaille.

Present condition: weathered.

Description

Face A is carved in relief with a plain cross with circular armpits. Face C bears traces of an incised cross of similar form.

Date: eighth to tenth century.
