Erracht (Eireachd - place of Assembly), early 19th century Remodelling of an older house which was "creel and turfed on the outside" (1772) and still standing in 1788. The plain harled front, with only a later timber porch for adornment, is typical of its genre, emphasis horizontal rather than vertical, windows set well in from the sides and tucked up close to the eaves on the upper floor. But it appears to be of several builds, raised up from one to two storeys, probably 1814 -16, when bills show Col. Alexander Cameron paying for timber, nails, glass, gunpowder, masons' wages and rough casting. The elegant stair and the moving of the best rooms to the first floor may date from this time, or from a further phase of works in 1826. A sliding wooden contraption designed to bar the front door to unwelcome visitors survives inside, probably 18th century. Late 19th-century rear wing. Barn, 1772, built by Alan Cameron, his account of which survives. A long stone range sloping down one side of the garden enclosure, it is interestingly a superior structure to the creel house.
