Red sandstone Art Deco cinema with surviving period decoration. Built by prominent cinema architect, James McKissack (1933) to replace the earlier Tivoli Cinema, possibly incorporating parts of the earlier building. Used as a bingo hall from the early 1970's, the building was empty by 2006. Bought by the Destiny Church, restored in 2008.

Site of two cinemas. The earlier opened 1913 and closed 1933, the present building opening in 1934. Closed in 1973 and now used as a bingo hall.
Construction (1933)
Built by John McKissack and Son, 1933 (opened 1st Jan 1934), incorporating parts of 1913 Cinematograph House by Menzies, Cockburn and Johnston. W wall retained (cinema enlarged to the N and E) and original facade incorporated minus full-width pediment. Plain 3-storey Art Deco facade with etched and coloured glass; flanking entrance with full height stylised giant order.
