Archaeology Notes

NN06SE 8 c. 062 617.

A very fine barbed-and-tanged flint arrowhead was dug up in 1888 when turf was being cut on Tom Iain (NN 062 617) not far from where a flint chipping factory was located (see NN06SE 3).

D Christison 1889.

In the West Highland Museum is a barbd & tanged arrowhead (Accession no: 120J) found at N Ballachulish in 1888 and presented by J A Ross. Probably that described by Christison. Otherwise no further information.

Visited by OS (A A) 6 May 1970; Information from West Highland Museum, Fort William.
