This long cairn lies on a slight terrace on a north-facing slope 700m ENE of Auchindrain (Campbell and Sandeman 1964, 11; Henshall 1972, 358). It is closely surrounded by a coniferous plantation and much obscured by vegetation, with a row of large birch trees growing along its spine. Aligned NE and SW, the cairn, which is composed of substantial boulders, is 46.5m long; for much of its length, it has a width of about 6m, which increases to 8.8m at the SW end, where a slab (1m by 0.7m and 0.1m thick), is visible in the cairn material, About 0.6m from the NE end of the cairn an upright transverse slab (0.57m broad by 0.15m thick), projects 0.32m.
