Archaeology Notes

NS34NE 19 39256 48594.

This farmstead has a U-shaped plan and comprises a two-storeyed farmhouse, an attached linear range and a detached linear range. In these there is a stable, a henhouse, a barn with granary above and a cart shed with loft over. Detached buildings include a byre. The farmstead has been whitewashed and is constructed of rubble with slate roofs. It was visited in 1993. The earthworks of a rig can be seen in the surrounding fields.
