OS 1:10,000 map, (1975)

The remains of an oval cairn crown the summit of a natural knoll on the lower slopes of Barr Beag. It appears as a grass-covered stony mound measuring 11 by 13.3 metres and stands to a height of 1.2 metres. Its centre has been severely disturbed by stone-robbing.

Field Visit (May 1972)

NM 907 297. The summit of a natural knoll on the lower slopes of Barr Beag, about 320m NNW of Strontoiller farmhouse, is occupied by the remains of an oval cairn. It appears as a grass-covered stony mound measuring 11m by 13.3 m and stands to a height of 1.2 m. Its centre has been severely disturbed by stone-robbing.
