Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Built in the late eighteenth century, Maxwellheugh Cottage is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the village. The cottage, a two-storeyed building, features a centrally-placed front door flanked by 12-pane sash windows, which may be original. To the west, a single-storeyed wing and garage have been added.
