Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Eccles Free Church was built in 1844, immediately following the 1843 Disruption and formation of the Free Church. It was given to the people of the village in 1938, and is now used as Eccles Village Hall.

The church building is quite large, with pointed-arched windows of Gothic style.
