Field Visit (28 July 1987)

NO14NE 53 1897 4569.

There are no visible remains of the medieval parish church which stood on or close to the site now occupied by the present church (1820). Within the burial-ground there are a number of 18th century gravestones, the Whitson of Parkhill mortuary enclosure and beside it that of the Rattrays of Craighall. The prebend of Rattray is on record in 1169.
