Standing Stone, Gruline House: This impressive standing stone is situated in an arable field 660m WNW of Gruline House and 120m E of the road from Salen to Kinloch. Aligned ENE and WSW, and leaning slightly to the ESE, this straight-sided stone measures 2.3m in height and 0.8m by 0.25m at the base.

RCAHMS 1980, visited 1980.

A standing stone, as described.

Surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (D W R) 4 May 1972.

Field Visit (25 July 1943)

This site was recorded as part of the RCAHMS Emergency Survey, undertaken by Angus Graham and Vere Gordon Childe during World War 2. The project archive has been catalogued during 2013-2014 and the material, which includes notebooks, manuscripts, typescripts, plans and photographs, is now available online.
