NN90SW 27 9197 0219

The footings of two shieling-huts are situated on a narrow terrace on the hillside above the E bank of the Broich Burn. The northern (GDEV98 11, NN 9197 0219), which is subrectangular on plan, measures 3.7m from N to S by 1.9m transversely within stone footings spread to 1m in thickness and 0.3m in height. The other hut lies about 20m to the S at NN 9197 0217, and measures 3.8m from NNW to SSE by 3m transversely over a ragged bank no more than 0.3m in height.
