Accessing Scotland's Past Project

This office range was built to serve the original Charterhall House in the mid-nineteenth century. Today, it is attached to the new house, which was built in 1966.

Built of sandstone with a slated roof, the office range has some Tudor detailing in keeping with other estate buildings. The arched porch has a panel above the door which bears the date 1851, which is presumably the date of construction.

Tudor-style details visible on this building include timber doors and window surrounds, and gabled windows and doors.
