This loss of this vessel is not noted by I G Whittaker (1998). Larn and Larn place it at the N end of Arran, near the Rock Lighthouse. There is no such lighthouse on Arran, and the record is probably to be assigned to the area around the Pillar Rock lighthouse (NS02NE 10) on Holy Island.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 23 July 2002.
R and B Larn 1998.
The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Pillar Rock Lighthouse (NS02NE 10) is also known as Holy Island Outer Lighthouse. It is situated at NS 06860 29101, near the S end of the E coast of Arran.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 21 May 2010.
