Greenock, 1st Jan. 'The NELLY & MARGARET, of and for this port, from Troon, foundered off Ardrossan 29th ultimo. Crew drowned.'

(Classified as galliot: no cargo specified, but date of loss cited as 24 December 1824). Nelly & Margaret: this vessel foundered 0.25 miles off Ardrossan. Capt. Wilson.

Registration: Greenock. Built 1793. 60 tons burthern. Length: 16m. Beam: 5m.

(Location of loss cited as N55 38.00 W4 50.00).
