Swinton, Main Street, Car Salesroom

A photograph showing Main Street in Swinton as it was in the 1970s is held by the NMRS. It shows a garage and car sales room at the north-east end of the village.

The sales room appears to have been converted from an earlier cottage, of late eighteenth- or nineteenth-century date. It has a steeply-pitched slated roof, and a brick chimney-stack.
