Accessing Scotland's Past Project

Branxton Cottage forms part of a terraced row of houses overlooking the north-east end of Main Street in Swinton. It dates from the early nineteenth century, and is of the same plan and dimensions to the neighbouring Rose Cottage.

The building is faced with coursed rubble and roofed in slate. Its chimney-stacks are brick.
