Watching Brief (30 January 2013)

NJ 9437 0612 A watching brief was undertaken on 30 January 2013 during groundwork related to the construction of a house extension to the rear of 2–3 Trinity Quay. The site is adjacent to the car park on Shore Brae, where a stone-built late medieval harbour was revealed during excavations in 1974. Walls dating to the 19th and early 20th century were recorded but there were no other finds or features of archaeological significance.
