(NM 3865 5490) Cairn (NR)

OS 1:10,000 map, (1976)

The remains of this cairn, measuring about 9m in diameter, are situated on the central one of the three rock ridges of Rubha na h-Airde, though it is not on the highest point of that ridge. It has been robbed, but many of the kerb-stones remain, although some are now recumbent. At the centre, a single upright slab (1m broad by 0.8m high) may have formed one side of a cist, but if so the other slabs have been removed.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

RCAHMS 1980, visited 1973; Visited by OS (RD) 22 April 1972.

Scheduled (with NM35SE 1) as Rubha an Aird, cairns.

Information from Historic Scotland, scheduling document dated 4 February 2003.
