A possible chambered cairn 12' high and 18' in diameter across the summit lies near Traigh Ghrianal (NL 938 441) and about 200 yds S of a level tract within the area of the settlement (NL94SW 3).
The mound is strewn with stones and some very large ones lie flush with the surface near the edge of the summit.
A few flints and bones occur here, as well as some possible hammer-stones, but no pottery was found on three separate visits.

NL 9389 4458: The probable remains of a cairn, 14-15m in diameter and over 2.0m high, its base being covered by grass-covered blown sand. On and near the cairn's summit are several small slabs of stone. There is no evidence to suggest that this is a chambered cairn

Measuring 15.5m in diameter and 2.4m in height, this cairn appears to be composed largely of water-worn stones of moderate size, but there are several large slabs lying scattered both on the top and on the sides of the cairn. There is no visible evidence to support the suggestion that this cairn is chambered.
