Broxburn Parish Church, East Main Street, 1880, Hippolyte J Blanc

Chunky stuff: generally French Gothic in style, it consists of a wide barn with a very stony gable facing the street with rose window and stringcourse, dignified by a buttressed tower and octagonal stone spire against its south-western flank.

Taken from "West Lothian: An Illustrated Architectural Guide", by Stuart Eydmann, Richard Jaques and Charles McKean, 2008. Published by the Rutland Press http://www.rias.org.uk
