Note (19 April 2002)

NN64NE 17 6643 4840

A dyke forms an enclosure around a conifer plantation to the N of Invervar township (NN64NE 8.00). The enclosure so formed measures about 320m from N to S by up to 180m. The Invervar Burn passes through the centre of the plantation dividing it roughly in half. It is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perthshire 1867, sheet xlvii) and in slightly modified form, with a small intake at the SE extent, on the 2nd edition of the same map (Perthshire 1900, sheet xlvii).
