Activities

Watching Brief (December 2008 - January 2009)

NT 274 631 (centred on) A watching brief was carried out from December 2008–January 2009 during topsoil stripping associated with the realignment of the Chapel Loan road from its current position into an arable field to the N. Three features were recorded but only one, a large irregular pit containing charcoal, proved to be archaeologically significant. No artefacts were recovered.
