Dryden house is depicted on the OS 2nd Edition map (Edinburghshire, sheet VII, 1907). It has since been demolished.

Report by Thomas Laurie on Dryden Estate.

He give a general description of the Mansion House, offices, garden, porter's lodge and approach.

The house is 'large and commodious' and 'pleasantly situated'.

'A large square of substantial office has been lately erected at a moderate distance from the Mandion House.
