Archaeology Notes

NJ90NW 1700 9211 0723

Nothing is visible of these two buildings, which stood at the NE edge of what is now the landscaped grounds of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The buildings, one of which was probably a cottage, are depicted on both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire 1869, sheet lxxv; 1902, sheet lxxv.NW), the earlier map showing another small roofed structure lay immediately to the SW.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 19 April 2002.
