(NK 0968 4007) Standing Stone (NR).
OS 6" map, (1959).
A deeply-set pyramidical block of granite 4'4" high, square at base where it is 16' 8" in girth. It lies ENE- WSW and is the remains of a circle.
F R Coles 1904.
A standing stone of pink granite, situated on a W-facing slope in a cultivated field, generally as described by Coles except that there is no trace of a stone circle, and the gradient makes it unlikely that there ever could be a stone circle here.
Visited by OS (RL) 30 May 1972.
No longer exists
Information from OS small scales field reviser April 1986.
