Nothing is visible of a cottage and steading that stood on land now occupied by houses and gardens on the N side of Westfield Terrace. As depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire, 1869, sheet lxxv), the steading comprised five buildings, one of them an L-plan range and another presumably a cottage, all standing within an area of gardens or allotments that included a nursery. By the end of the 19th century (OS 6-inch map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd edition, 1902, sheet lxxv.SE) the steading had been removed and the area redeveloped for housing.
