This stone-walled sheepfold, comprising one large rectangular enclosure and two small ones, stands on the edge of heather moorland to the N of Balbeg farmsteading. The large enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xxix), but all three compartments are shown on the second edition map (Inverness-shire 1905, sheet xxix).
