(Classified as Motor Vessel, with cargo of fish: date of loss cited as 22 August 1992). Sea Reefer: this vessel stranded on South Head, Peterhead.

Registration: Antigua. 2900 tons [unspecified].

(Location of loss cited as N57 30.17 W1 45.75).

I G Whittaker 1998.

The location of loss assigned to this record is essentially tentative. Whittaker suggests a location on South Head, Peterhead for this loss. This feature cannot be identified from the available map evidence, but may be equated with Salthouse Head, on the S side of Peterhead Bay.

It remains unclear whether or not the loss occurred within the area of Peterhead harbour (NK14NW 128.00: centred NK 13771 46063).

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 3 December 2007.

The location assigned to this record is revised to NK c. 142 458 and the tentative location of loss on Salthouse Head rejected. The current edition of the OS (GIS) AIB notes South Head at NK 142 458, on the E side of Keith Inch and just outside Peterhead Harbour.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 4 December 2007.
