OS 25" map, Aberdeenshire, 1st ed., (1871).

Built in c 1573 as a residence for a Dowager Lady Pitsligo; the store above the entrance has the seal of the Burgh on it, but the date 1760 is an addition, it refers to a repair or alteration; it is named "The Lodging House".

The building has been completely destroyed and the site built over.
