Nothing is visible of this cottage, one of a four collectively known as Springbank, which stood in what is now the SW corner of Springbank Cemetery. On both the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch map (Aberdeenshire, 1869, sheet lxxv and 1902, sheet lxxv.SW), the cottage is shown as roofed; the main axis of the building lay NE and SW, and there were small outshots projecting from the NE gable and from the SW end of the NW side.
