Archaeology Notes

NS97NW 123 9379 7946

A possible air-raid shelter is situated in the back garden of a house in Old Polmont. It is known locally as some kind of command centre and may possibly be the Battle H.Q. for Grangemouth airfield. Further research and visits may ascertain the exact nature of this structure.

Information from Mr G Bailey, Keeper of Archaeology and Local History, Falkirk Museum, January 2002
