Note

An extensive system of head-dykes which runs roughly NE-SW from NB 490 600 to NB 455 568 is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 2). It adjoins two other systems of head-dykes to the NE (NB56SW 69) and to the SW (NB45SW 31) as well as the head-dyke associated with the farmstead NB46SW 22.

Some lengths of head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
