Publication Account (1995)
Although now derelict and boarded up, it still reveals some of the qualities of a substantial agricultural property with close associations with the town. Built in 1855, it is a three-storeyed dwelling with a basement. It has a three-windowed coursed whinstone facade, with raised quoins at angles and openings. The doorpiece has a consoled cornice. The original decorative chimney pots and chimney heads are still in evidence, although the original glazing is obscured and the driveway across which stood a walled and railed garden is scarcely recognisable. The steading, which had finialled gables, is now a ruin.
