(Name: NJ 9325 2091) Chapel Park (NAT)

OS 6" map, Aberdeenshire, 2nd ed., (1901)

'It is well know by tradition that a chapel stood in this field previous to the Reformation. All remains of it have now disappeared and I have not been able to meet with any person who can point out the site of the chapel'.

Name Book 1866.

There are no surface indications of a chapel in the area, and the farmer at Middlemuir House reports no finds.

Visited by OS (NKB) 20 March 1964.

Nothing is now visible of this chapel. It lay in Chapel Park, an arable field with several pronounced natural undulations 300m SE of Ardo House (NJ92SW 96.00).

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS, IF), 5 November 1996.
