Croyland, 202 Ayr Road, c.1870, Alexander Thomson

Well-proportioned, low-eaved, steep-pitched slate roof over satisfyingly simple ashlar two-storey villa by 'Greek' Thomson. Built long before motorcars made this a major artery, the area is resuming a local character with the new Motorway taking through traffic.
