A whetstone 'measuring 6 inches in length, tapering towards the ends' found on Cloisterseat farm (buildings at NJ 908 265) was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS), now the Royal Museum of Scotland (RMS) by C Temple (the farm tenant) in 1863. (Not noted in NMAS catalogue [1892].)
