One of a pair of single storey cottages meeting at the angle of the main road. Coursed rubble walls, freestone dressings, skew gables, slate roofs (originally thatched), moulded skewputs and eaves cornice, corner pilaster strips. Door and window openings to road mostly blocked up.
Of the same architectural character as Souter Johnnie's Cottage, which this building neighbours, and probably built as a group (1786). (Historic Scotland)
