Archaeology Notes

NO31SW 93.01 30156 10391

A brick and concrete pillbox is situated on the opposite side of the road from the entrance to the Army Depot at Lady bank.

The pillbox has a concrete roof which is six-sided with brick walls. It is set low into the ground and the gun loops are long narrow slits. It measures about 4.7m by 5.5m across the roof, and is very similar to the other two placed around the depot.
