Archaeology Notes

NJ92NE 24 99 27.

There is a flint working site 'at the confluence of the Ythan and the Starsie Burn'. ('Starsie Burn' does not appear on OS maps; 'Tarty Burn' may be the name intended.)

J Godsman 1958.

There is no evidence to support Godsman's assertion that a flint-working site exists at the junction of the Tarty Burn and the River Ythan.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS), 8 June 1998.
