A small rising ground where the Proprietors of Banchory Estate in former days sat, and held their Courts of Justice.

Name Book 1865.

This is a tree-covered natural spur which runs in a north-south direction, with a steep slope at its north end.

Not a motte.

Visited by OS (JD) 29 July 1952.

This tree-covered spur runs N-S with a steep slope at its N end. It is situated at an altitude of 20m and was formerly locally believed to be a motte, but was possibly a moot hill.
