Situated at 126 Craigton Road. Marked 9 ABD. This stone was missing in 1840 when it was replaced 'in an adjacent field'. The boundary here was marked by an 'eard-fast ston with an carne' in 1698.

D B Gunn 1929; HBD List 1965 (Aberdeen).

(Location formerly cited as NJ 9092 0425). This boundary marker on the Freedom march is a modern granite block, which has a rectangular in section and measures 0.25m in width by 0.15m in thickness and 0.62m in height. The top of the S face is bevelled and bears the incised letters ABD below the number 9. When first mentioned in 1698, this point was marked by an earthfast stone and a cairn, but that stone was missing as early as 1840, and a subsequent replacement also appears to have been removed.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 24 February 1997.
