Four type C aircraft sheds (hangars) built under the 1930s RAF Expansion Scheme. Constructed of steel and clothed in brick with traditional gabled roof rafters, the hangars are placed in an arc of three with the fourth situated centrally to the N. Visible on RAF wartime vertical air photographs (NLA 48, 5.7-8 and 5.13, flown 25 September 1942 and NLA 68, 3004-8, flown 27 August 1943), the roof camouflage pattern was altered between the aforementioned dates. The four hangars are depicted on the OS 1:10000 scale map (1982).
